All Superstitch MFG pants are unhemmed when produced, with the hem cut and finished by hand at our 13 Rue Racine workshop using original Union Special 43200G machines. It’s the chainstitch technique employed on our hems that prepares all our jeans and pants to produce the ‘roping’ effect during ageing and fading. Therefore, when you order any Superstitch MFG pants online, we ask that you specify your inseam length so that the length is cut especially for you. Please consider the following to get your ideal measurement:

  • Using a tape measure, please measure your inseam length from your crotch to the lowest point where you would like your pants to fall
  • Please consider what kind of shoes you will most likely wear with your pants
  • Please allow for additional length if you would like to be able to roll up your hem
  • All Superstitch MFG pants may shrink with wash. We advise you to allow for an additional 0.5 cm when measuring your inseam length
  • Don’t forget, it’s always possible to reduce the length, so when in doubt, allow for a longer measurement
